SEAWAYS CAFE, welcomes all, bikers, cyclists, holidaymakers, lorry drivers, walkers and many more.

The cafe is located in the highest village on the Yorkshire Wolds, with spectacular views  over to the east coast.

The roads are favourites with the motor cycling fraternity,and cyclists, who are pleased to call for a large mug of Yorkshire tea, a piece of home made cake and a sit to recharge their batteries.

The Bike shed is open on a Saturday and Sunday, from March until October.

Seaways Cafe also sells a wide range of top quality sheepskin rugs, in various sizes and colours. Any colour not held in stock can be ordered & are usually here within a week.              These have been sold here for the last 53 years.      

Fridaythorpe is in the heart of David Hockney country, Garrowby Hill, Thixendale, Sledmere and Warter being the locations of some of his paintings, which are all within a few minutes drive from Seaways.

The Wolds Way harbours many surprises, including the Circular Earth Works at Thixendale by Chris Drury, 6 sculptured benches by Angus Ross which are situated along the Wolds Way and are part of the WANDER art project.

Thixendale is the home of wild life artist Robert Fuller, his gallery is open  Mon-Sat 11am to 4.30pm.

 The cafe is situated in an ideal posistion for visitors to the area who are walking some of the lovely walks in the area, Fridaythorpe is situated on the Wolds Way ,for nearly 80 miles the Yorkshire Wolds Way wends through some of the most tranquil and gentle countryside in England. 

The Chalkland Way is a 40-mile circular walking route on the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, Britain's most northerly chalk outcrop, linking the villages of Great Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Bugthorpe, Thixendale, Fimber, Wetwang and Huggate.

The North Wolds Way is a 20 mile walk across the chalk hills and valleys of the Yorkshire Wolds passing through the villages of Millington, Great Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Kirby Underdale and Thixendale.

 The cafe serves hot and cold sandwiches, all made freshly when ordered, the cold sandwiches and jacket potatoes are all served with salad garnish.

We serve a traditional all day breakfast including a hot drink, toast or bread and butter .

Hot cornish pasties, steak and kidney pies or chicken and mushroom pies are available  with chips and mushy peas, or by themselves.

We make all the cakes and fruit pies on the premises.

The cafe is open from 8am until 4pm.
